Titan Esports earn 2021 NJCAA-E Spring Championships Births

Monaca, PA –In their second competitive season, the Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) Titan Esports program has earned two births into the 2021 NJCAA Esports (NJCAAE) Spring Championship, starting on Tuesday, April 20th

“We are incredibly excited for our student-athletes who have earned the right to compete for a championship this season,” said Colin Sisk, Director of Student Life and Athletic Administration. “They have dedicated themselves to their craft and are ready to get out there and work to bring a championship back to our campus. All of Titan Nation is pulling for them. We’re grateful for the leadership of our own Brandon Berg (CCBC Associate Vice President for Information Technology) that has helped our student-athletes make it to this point”.

In Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, Chris McQuown has earned a spot in the 64-individual championship bracket. He takes a 6-4 overall record into his first-round matchup where he will face off with a competitor from Lincoln Land Community College, with the competition starting on Tuesday April 20th.

In Rocket League, CCBC earned the 16-seed spot despite losing only one NJCAAE contest this season, and plays the top-seeded Lincoln Land Community College in their opening matchup on Thursday, April 22. If they advance in the bracket, the Titans national semifinal contest could potentially be against Region XX foe Northern Virginia Community College.
