Monaca, PA - The Titans were able to travel across town to Penn State University - Beaver on Satruday, October 14th, and sweep the tri-match. The started the day with Penn State University - New Kensington by taking the first three games (25-20, 25-20, 25-13) to win the match. In their second match of the day, they were able to hold off PSU - Beaver (25-18, 25-18, 14-25, 25-16) to win in four games.
Standout Performers -
- Freshman Middle Blocker Amanda Turnbull lead the Titans in both matches with 7 kills a piece. She also added 5 blocks in both matches.
- Sophomore Outside Hitter Mercedes Arnold-Fox helped the Titans while adding 5 kills against New Kensington and 4 kills against Beaver. She added more points by serving four aces in both matches
- Sophomore Setter Jessica Straub assisted in ten kills in each of the matches.
- Sophomore Libero Lauren Ranone continued her consistant defense by giving the Titans 13 digs against New Kensington and 18 against Beaver
Next Match -
The Titans return to action when they travel to Butler County Community College for the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference Tournament on Satruday, October 21st. They play in the First Round at 9:00am, with the Semi-Finals and Championship to follow.
