Titans land four straight victories

The CCBC Titans men's basketball team picked up its fourth straight victory with a convincing 112-81 win over CCAC-Alleghany Monday night in WPCC action CCAC Field House.
 
The four straight wins which improved to 20-3 overall and 9-1 in WPCC games. CCAC-Alleghany  saw its season records slip to 3-17 overall and 3-7 in league games.
 

 CCAC-Alleghany came out of the gates strong nailing three pointer after three pointer giving CCAC-Alleghany an early lead. The Titans wasted little time in erasing that deficit after putting together a 12-2 run over the next seven minutes to break open a 19-13 lead with 9:48 to play in the first half.
 
The Titans would never trail again, building the advantage up to 52-42 at halftime and never letting the Cougars get back to within single-digits in the second half.
 
CCBC put together a solid shooting effort from the field and from 3-point, which offset a poor shooting effort at the free throw line. The Titans finished the game shooting 47.5 percent from the field (29-of-61), 41.2 percent from 3-point (7-of-17) and 57.1 percent at the free throw line (12-of-21).
 
CCAC was held to just 30.2 percent from the field (19-of-63), but fared better at the charity stripe, going 76.2 percent from the foul line (16-of-21). CCBC posted a 46-35 edge in total rebounds and got 38 points from its bench.
 
The Titans will be looking to revenge their only lost in conference play against Pennsylvania Highlands Community College at 6pm on Wednesday, February 7th 2018. The outcome of the game between Pennsylvania Highlands and The Community College of Beaver County will determine first place in the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference.
