TITANS GRAB ANOTHER REGION XX WIN

The Dome – The Community College of Beaver County men's basketball team shot an solid 50 percent from field and freshman guard Simeon Fryer scored 23 points in an 82-68 victory in The Dome Saturday evening in Region XX play.
 
The win pushes The Titans record to 5-1 overall on the season and 2-0 in region play. Catonsville falls to 0-5 on the year overall and 0-2 in region competition.
 
The Titans went 32-for-64 from the field but struggled from three point range shooting 27.6 percent (8-29). Defensively, The Titans held Catonsville to a 41.2 field goal percentage.

The Titans set the tone for a game they would never trail in early on with a dominant first half. The Titans scored at will with in two point range.
 
Catonsville played better in the second half, but it was much too late as The Titans was content to trade baskets with Catonsville in the final 20 minutes of regulation en route to the 14-point victory.
 
Fryer, whose 23 points were two shy of his season-high, was one of four Titans who scored double digits. Freshman guard Jamaal Brown, freshman center Donald Butler, freshman forward Antwan James added double digit scoring.
 

The Titans will continue region play and travel to Anne Arundel  7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Arnold, MD.
